Prior to that, your chances were zeroNo. There was also an American flight that crashed near Kirksville, Missouri in 2004, killing a dozen or so passengers as well. Before that, there was a US Airways flight in 2003 that crashed into a hangar in Charlotte NC killing all 19 passengers. However, if you were flying a large commercial jet (737 or A319 or larger) there have still been zero deaths for over six years. That statement is true as long as you caveat it with the phrase "Within the United States". |
