We had considered driving to it on our trip to Phoenix in 2002 but ended up going only as far as SedonaThe Grand Canyon is worth it, even when school is out (though you need patience then because of all the crowds). Best is March to mid-June: cool weather, rain is rare, not too crowded, and the days are long. In fact, the whole canyon country (Southern Utah + Grand Canyon) is worth at least a 1-week visit at that time of year. |
