If you went through Guadalupe you went the right way.I like that area too. The beaches just south of Pismo are ridiculously wide. Almost a mile in some spots. Usually a half mile. There's a hotel called the Madonna Inn just south of SLO that supposedly has really elaborate urinals. I've been to the area many times, but never stopped in. They're supposed to be something special and worth holding it in for a few miles. SLO is a pretty cool college town. I've stopped at Hearst Castle twice, but never had a reservation for a tour so I've only seen the movies and stuff up front. I've been to Big Sur. It's okay. There are so many spots like that in California (and better), I'm not sure why it's so famous. I also like to stop at Morro Bay when I drive that route. I find it cool for some reason. |
