Ignoring the choice vs genetic disposition argument for a moment, if two people find happiness in each other on a level that they say is every bit as strong as that felt by a married couple then who are we to deny them that practice? We condone plenty of immature behavior, so why do we draw the line at allowing people to be happy together? Of course I disagree with your premise that it is a choice, that they're faking, immature, or whatever, but I do not think that changes the argument in the slightest. |
