The men in the video don't agree that gay marriage is a civil right issue. I can see their point. I do however think that gay marriage should be allowed. I do know that gays are ridiculed and persecuted on a daily basis. The marriage issue is about money too. I believe that if two gay people share a life together they should be entitled to every benefit that a married heterosexual couple have. Two big things are health benefits and Social Security. If a gay couple were to marry and one of them lost their job they should be covered under their spouse's medical. If after many years of marriage one partner should die, I think that the surviving spouse should be entitled to the deceased partners Social Security amount should it be higher. I did find it it humorous that the men in the video said that being gay is a choice. It isn't a choice. It is the way you are born. People may dream that you can change a person's sexual orientation, but it is only a dream. |
