Try public transportation in Chicago at night. 1 hour headways and truncated service on some lines. Many bus routes shut down completely.To get from point A to point B in Manhattan, the subways are the best way to go. But service in the outer boroughs, particularly bus service during the off hours, has room for improvement. And I am fortunate to live in an area that is served by the Q13, 16, 28 and QM2/QM2A. And the LIRR is less than 2 miles from my house. For all it's blemishes, public transportation in New York City is pretty damned good. |
