It doesn't make sense to circumcise boys routinely as a "preventative" medicine for a medical condition that only effects a very small percentage of boys/men.That would be like cutting off the breasts of girls because they may get breast cancer one day. Or taking out every kid's tonsils because they may cause a problem. Even an infection can be cleared up without cutting a body part off. We don't cut off someone's ear because it had an infection. The majority of men in Europe and around the world do just fine without the procedure. |
