Look it up. The person who died worked their asses off to make that money (or maybe they didn't but it was THEIRS). If it weren't for the United States government forming a more perfect union, establishing justice, insuring domestic tranquility, providing for the common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty to us and our posterity, then they wouldn't have had that money. but it's still almost HALF of those people's money going to taxes. That's not right. Once again you completely ignore what I say. To help, I'll quote myself: "It may be excessive but that doesn't mean the tax is inherently bad." Are you having trouble understanding? In what way does a tax being excessive mean that such a tax at a lower rate would remain unfair? Note that I am not making a judgment on whether the rate is excessive or not, I am proposing that it may be for the sake of argument. |
