I really doubt those countries will ever want to give up their independance The people don't. But their own politicians are subverting democracy in order to comply with the EU federal structure. That's why the EU Constitution was turned into a "treaty" after it was voted down by a number of countries, so that the people wouldn't get to vote on it. who is sucking up the the UN? Last time I heard nobody takes them seriously If only that were the truth. But everything foreign-policy related is still being forced through the UN, who continues to put bloodthirsty dictators in charge of their "Human Rights Council", among other travesties. how are we sucking up to the EU? How aren't we? McCain and Obama want them to expand their military capabilities so that they can get more involved in the role of world police. Obama's Brandenburg Gate speech was all about kissing up to the EU (consider his opening words). |
