It's the working class that suddenly find themselves dealing with it when a loved one dies, and paying the government some money.The working class doesn't accumulate $2,000,000. If they have, they're no longer the working class. As I've said, I am in favor of raising the minimum from what it was before (the current minimum is $3,000,000. That is too high IMO). There's nothing wrong with rich families passing wealth on to loved ones. And even with an estate tax they still do. Why do you think you're entitled to it? Distribution of wealth is bullshit. When did I ever say I was entitled to it? There is nothing wrong with taxing a high-valued transaction. Taxes have to come from someplace, and it makes the most sense to tax the income which has the lowest marginal utility to the recipient. |
