I should add that there's also the GEMSTAR system which gets a full program guide which is broadcast in the vertical blanking interval of PBS stations. There are TVs and VCRs also that use PBS to synchronize their clocks. All of this is going away with the analog switch-off.PBS is also much better than History or Discovery or other cable documentary channels. |
