What does a hot dog eating contest have to with starving in Haiti? Nada. Are we to feel guilty every time we overeat? Every time we enjoy ourselves with food?July 4th has nothing to do with Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest. But the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest has everything to do with the 4th of July, and the freedom we enjoy in this country. |
