"The video, which surfaced on YouTube and several Egyptian blogs in June,"

I wonder how many of those bloggers "disappeared". Lot of bloggers vanish down there.

"For decades, the government has provided poor Egyptians with subsidized food and fuel, free education and health care."
Yea, that's a throwback to when Egypt and Syria had the same slogan and names translated to Arabic from the German Nazi party. I guess they kept parts of the old system.

Egypts falling apart, and has a bunch of problems(crumbling, sudanese problem, healthcare, inflation, bad conditions in the textiles, etc etc). I understand it was supposed to look nice early last century. But this healthcare thing reminds me of the yellow fever outbreak in the 1930s, or maybe it was the 40s, or whenever. The Jews in Israel wanted and asked to help, and sent medicine. Guess the outcome? it was blockaded, and they let the sick die instead. Egyptian healthcare obviously hasn't changed in 60 years.

If it weren't Yellow Fever, maybe it was Malaria. One of those similar type deals that's curable.
