Syria is not necessarily hostile to the US. Syrian security agents cooperated with the CIA in detaining suspects that started out in Afghanistan and paased through Gitmo.Syria is politically hostile to Israel, but has taken no steps militarily to cause any trouble. Obam and Clinton are running for election here, not in Israel. If I wanted to use Israel as a strict litmus test, I'd be voting in Tel Aviv, not here. |
