I didn't read Newsday back in the day, but from what I gather it was a pretty good paper compared to most small town papers, like the Lowell Sun or the Haverhill Gazette. Certainly based on my reading, the Newsday writers had a little more depth than those at the two Massachusetts papers I've just mentioned, but that doesn't mean much. NY Post, on the other hand, I can't stand at all. That paper is worse than The Sun. |
