White had every right to arm himself and confront the group. No, he didn't. - When was the last time a black man was lynched in Suffolk County? - What threat did these unarmed kids present? - Why were the cops called after the shooting? Even if we were to accept the fact that Mr. White thought he was about to be overrun by a racist mob, that fear is totally unjustified. It's 2007, not 1957. It's Suffolk County, not Birmingham Alabama. The only verifiable racist here is Mr. White himself. |
