Posted by TransitChuckG on Thu Sep 20 12:38:20 2007, in response to Re: What's Wrong With This Photo?, posted by BrooklynBus on Thu Sep 20 12:19:33 2007. 1200 N 1000 means you are on North Broad St., the part of it that is above City hall, the benchmark for Philly.Picture yourself looking at the Liberty Bell and facing towards the 1000's (which we determined is not there, it should say 900), Then the N 611 S sign has S the right way, The 611 shows a US symbol, which is wrong. W Girard Ave, is the portion west of Front st., on the other side of town, 14 blocks away. So to travel west the Arterial W and the 1400 & arrow point you correctly. There is also an E on the sign to point you towards Front St. We can't see the E in this photo. It's a lot easier , if we could to back away from the sign and get your bearings.
