"People want to eat what tastes good - not what is good for them!! "Exactly. Southern fried pork chops chicken and fish, macaroni & cheese from the oven with salted butter, mash potatoes with melted butter, or gravy made from grease and pan leftovers, cornbread made with butter, hamhocks or smoked neck-bones in collard or mustard greens. Sweet potato and apple pie. I love southern cooking. It is 2007 and low-fat good tasting food, is few and far between. Pickled pigs feet and chitterlings (aka shitlins), I ain't touchin' though. |
