EVER.WPIX here in NYC used it back in the late '70's/early '80's apparently........our rendition of it was slightly better than yours. >_> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4qvUtF7vQ8 SubChat vets (me not being one as I'm only 20) how do you feel about the demise of independent television and the decline (in quality) of WNYW, WWOR and WPIX? And was WWOR always the weak link of the trio? I mean jeez, the channel doesn't even program for 12 hours on weekends. They air more than a half-day's worth of.....wait for it.......paid programming like they were WPXN or something. When they were under the aegis of UPN it at least seemed like there was some life over there, but now that it's under that glorified syndicated network "My Network TV" it's dead. I bet they don't even turn in a profit anymore. WPIX has been the #1 local channel here in NYC since the early '90's, and big brother WNYW bullies and shoves around little bro WWOR, holding it down as if they were Triple H or something. |
