And frankly, the rising right wing in all of Europe (not just Germany) is staunchly Catholic. (Yes, that's what I said.)Well, then you don't have to worry about Germany. West Germany was something like 40% Catholic, but the east is so overwhelmingly Protestant that there is no risk of a heavily Catholic movement becoming a majority in Germany. And by the way except for Poland and the Czech Republic the former Soviet block is hardly Catholic at all. |
