Half the stuff, maybe more now, is made in one factory and the label slapped on after. Buy a Lexmark printer, they don't even cover it up anymore! It's got all these chinese characters on it, with a Lexmark sticker. There's also the "Made for" now too. See this in a lot of cheap products. I think I saw a shirt in Sears that I bought at Value city. Different brand, same label and same country. But that was the big thing a decade ago when they criticized the GAP. Before that was standard practice. Plus, like they saw in pet food a few weeks ago, one company owns everything anyway, so really there's no point. Pessimist post of the day. |
