But lowering the numbers didn't ban mainstream news organizations, it got rid of more marginal outlets and probably included outlets on both sides. There is a limit to the number of people who can be in the White House press pool anyway.The difference here is that Trump made his motivations clear: he thinks these outlets are "fake news" and he doesn't want journalists, he wants hagiographers. |
