He also has a prior record for sexually assaulting a minor in NYC earlier this year.DHS says Abdoulaye Dia of Lanham illegally crossed into Lukeville, AZ on December 21, 2023 — one of the days my team and I were there covering large groups of African migrants crossing — and was released into the U.S. by Border Patrol. Dia was arrested by the NYPD on June 10th for forcible sexual abuse, forcible touching of intimate parts, endangering a child under 17, and sexual abuse without consent. He has now been arrested by Maryland police for allegedly kidnapping and raping an underage girl while working as an Empower rideshare driver.
