Posted by AlM on Wed Jun 3 08:34:52 2026 There were fears that the CA jungle primary would result in two Republicans winning the top two slots for governor because of the Democratic vote being splintered among a huge array of candidates.But Democratic voters actually paid attention, and consolidated on two main candidates, Becerra and Steyer. So Becerra + Steyer preliminarily have 45%, vs. 39% for Hilton + Bianco. Since Hilton is well ahead of Bianco, he is sure to be in the top 2, which guarantees that the general election will be one Democrat vs. one Republican, a nicely normal outcome. |
