Wait a minute.

Suppose everything is peaceful from now on.

Iran's vicious autocratic regime remains in place. Iran still has its enriched uranium. Iran can still block the Strait of Hormuz at a later date. Oil prices go back down to pre-war levels.

So basically nothing happened except:

- A lot of evil people dead, replaced by other evil people.
- The United States President has gone on record that he will destroy an entire civilization just to keep the oil moving.
- More distrust within NATO.
- A lot of economic activity destroyed, making the entire world a little bit poorer.

So how does this make Trump look very good?
