Mamdani to Blame? (Re: NYMets erases the Jews)

The Mets didn't "erase" Jewish Heritage Night. Its just not on the schedule. It wasn't on the schedule last year either. The Yankees have never had one.

If I had to guess, I would say that its a security issue. Mamdani probably advised the Mets that the city would not pay OT for NYPD officers to provide security for Jewish Heritage Night, so Steve Cohen decided to err on the side of caution and not hold the event.
