That war ended rather quickly and easily, all things considered.What people do is that they conflate the post-war insurgency with the war itself, which I purposely do not. I do not believe that there would be a significant post-war insurgency in Iran. Our broadened definition of wars have led to the myth that we can't win wars anymore. By the same logic used in Iraq and Afghanistan, World War II ended in 1990 and the Korean War never did, making it our actual "longest war" (76 years and counting!). |
