In the baseball world? 9/10 of those guys are in the same boat.All umpires are hated by 50% of the people at a game at any given time. Overall I’m a respected official in all the leagues I work. The keys to that are being fair but firm, presenting yourself professionally and hustle. The best umpires allow the game to come to them and that’s through patience and timing. It’s not an easy job by any stretch. When the game is over I find it extremely satisfying. |
