I saw the English progressive rock band Renaissance in concert at the University of Colorado - Boulder many moons ago. Here is an excerpt from a 1976 performance of my favorite song "Ashes Are Burning" at the Capitol Theater, arguably the venue that hosted the greatest collection of contemporary musicians to date, in pastoral Passaic, New Jersey. Renaissance incorporated instrumental jazz into its oeuvre as you will no doubt hear.
