The author believes that the main principles of American conservatism inexorably lead to Trump.I don't agree only because Trump has a more interventionist streak than a true conservatives. Tariffs haven't been conservative for decades, it's something that Bernie Sanders would have supported to "protect domestic manufacturing." What we have now is "MAGA Maoism." |
