TNHIW!!! Lo@lm! They were "deputized" to work Nationwide with ICE. Happens between agencies all the time. The NYPD has Detectives and Supervisors detached to various Federal and State Task Forces. While with them, they get full Federal/State "creds" and are sworn in as Feds. They sometimes even get ID cards.
