He thinks Mamdani and The Squad might make it easier for Republicans to win POTUS elections.

Exactly. Mamdani and AOC are much more radical than Obama, Clinton, Biden, or Harris were. Republicans will try to paint the next Democratic presidential candidate with the socialism brush no matter how ridiculous it is.
