I went there for the first time again about 12 years ago.Why? I heard about a food truck selling "Hulk Hogan Fudgie Wudgies". Turned out to be a vegan food truck outside a hipster bar. Roberta's Pizza was nearby and gained a ton of fame over that time period but has cooled off. It's a weird neighborhood. You'll see a few blocks of industrial property then 8 family tenements. Also, I like the old Bushwick LIRR tracks cutting through the neighborhood, and how they now have fencing so people can't walk the tracks. |
