Obama's policies were different than his predecessors, but I didn't think (and still don't think) they were beyond the pale. Obama never demurred when asked if Hamas should lay down its arms. Obama never said that Israel shouldn't be a Jewish state. Seeing as no viable politician is going to advocate for the one state solution (at least not the version you want, because I assume it isn't the same one state solution Mamdani seems to support), holding Obama or anyone else in contempt because they believe there should be a Palestinian state means hardly anyone will get your approval. I actually think it is YOU who is maintaining extremist viewpoints, not Obama. |
