I live and work on Long Island, and haven’t been in the city for well over a year except for driving through on the way to someplace else and a couple airport trips, so this doesn’t affect me directly. Even so, many Long Islanders commute into the city, especially from Nassau, so if there’s a big outflow of businesses fleeing the city - worse than there already is, of course - it will be bad for the Long Island economy. |
