Everyone with cable had TBS. Not as much for WOR and WGN. Plus CNN played a role as they were more Atlanta-centric with news in the 80’s. Also Atlanta was good then with Glavine, Smoltz, Justice, Maddox, etc.But all of that was a long time ago. I have no idea whether the Atlanta Braves are still popular due to those things. Baseball has become much less popular overall. Which cities are still MLB first cities? Maybe LA although that’s a toss up with the Lakers. Probably NYC and a few others. But most of the country is NFL first now. |
