Re: Vote Early, Vote often, now in New York

Posted by Catfish 44 on Tue Oct 21 09:42:52 2025, in response to Re: Vote Early, Vote often, now in New York, posted by Dave on Mon Jan 14 09:50:33 2019.

Employees in New York who do not have at least four consecutive hours between the opening or closing of polls and their work shift are entitled to up to two hours of paid time off to vote on Election Day, provided specific notice is given to their employer
If you have a four-hour window to vote before or after your shift, you are not eligible for paid voting leave.
If not, you may take up to two hours of paid time off at either the start or end of your shift, as designated by your employer (unless otherwise mutually agreed)
Notice must be given to your employer at least two working days before Election Day; you can notify up to ten working days prior
