I didn't say it was the only reason.Another reason is that people just didn't smoke as much in pre-Columbian societies. It was really only mass tobacco farming and processing that made smoking something a person would do on a regular basis, also making tobacco more pure, and what really made smoking dangerous was mass production of cigarettes. |
