My mom gave DNA samples to the medical examiner via this little DNA collection kit which was made up of basically Q tip cotton swabs.Appx 6 months later, the ME's office called up my mom that they "found a piece of him". It was about an 8 inch section of his right forearm. That was all that was left of him. The rest of him is no doubt "entombed" in the Fresh Kills landfill over in Staten Island. The remains were cremated and returned to his wife and 3 kids by the NYPD. I was there when they came. They were in full dress & crisp looking uniforms wearing white gloves. Very classy. His remains were enough ashes to fill an Altiods tin. Thats the way it went down all those years ago. |
