My old high school classmate does not eat pork for both health concerns and humane reasons.

Health concerns. Experts have told us to reduce or eliminate red meats. Pork, beef and lamb are red meats.

Humane reasons. I can understand this. We all love animals.

Anyway, he eliminated red meat and does not eat real butter or whole milk dairy. He keeps gaining weight.
