No it does not unless you are talking about a primary. If anything it prevents a Bernie Sanders-type candidate from winning. The Democrats refuse to a coalesce behind anyone so rather than the nutjob taking a plurality in a Primary and advancing, it artificially forces the Democrats to nominate someone a little to the right of that.
