As a Jew raised in the Washington area, perhaps you'll give me some deference on this matter. I honestly don't know what you or CMM "expects" me to say in this circumstance. In Judaism, there's a custom that when one makes a shiva call, you don't speak until the mourner(s) speak to you. Sometimes, silence and listening are far superior to talking.I have high standards for which the death penalty should be used. I'm not apologizing if they are too high for you, but there's no "do-overs" if you get it wrong. Sentencing someone to life without parole would be far less expensive for everyone involved. |
