Posted by Lou from Brooklyn on Wed Apr 30 15:39:50 2025 Probably won't see much about this but the City Council now back to 6 Republicans as Frank Morano won the special election on Staten Island with more than 59% of the vote surpassing the necessary threshold, no need for rank choice in this election. Hagen the democrat came in second with 20.79% of the vote.The 51st Council District established in 1990 had a special election to replace seat vacated in end of January by Joe Borelli. |
