I used to leave my radio on in my room with a running tape recorder next to the speaker with a 120 minute tape so I would at least hear some of the show when I was in school or at work (this was early '90s).Everyone has an opinion as to when Howard started to change. I think the change began in 1995, when his book "Private Parts" was optioned for a movie. It was then that he started name dropping Ivan Reitman, Betty Thomas and others in Hollywood. Once he drank from that bottle of potion, he never stopped. By the time he was on America's Got Talent in the early 2010's, and he started hanging out with Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum, the mask fell away like Jeff Goldblum's face at the end of The Fly. Everyone knows that he's a sellout. I think his show has been borderline unlistenable for at least 10 years. |
