"Did you take the J train while living in Woodhaven?"Yes, once in a while. Slow pokey ride to Fulton St. Going home at midnight was a trip. Going thru some of the worst neighborhoods in the city, I'd ride in the conductor car. He'd lock himself in until he had to leave to open the other side. Often I'd ride in a train with mixed R16 & R27s. Other than that I'd take the Q11 Woodhaven Blvd Green bus to Woodhaven & Queens Blvd. to switch to the IND to 74th St & change for the #7 That was even slower |
