You show them your credit card or device used to pay for the ride and the inspectors have a gizmo that checks the card/device and verifies that it was used to pay on the bus. I witnessed this firsthand on the M34 when inspectors got on at 2nd Ave and I used an OMNY tap to pay for my ride. --Mark |
