I never knew anyone who thought a priest behaved inappropriately, with one exception.A friend of my wife's mentioned, on discovering that a certain priest had been booted out of the priesthood, that she remembered that once when she was about 13 he had acted really weird when he was alone with her, and she just made sure not to be alone with him again after that. The priest who performed our marriage ceremony resigned from the priesthood under some kind of pressure (he's on the NY Archdiocese list), but I don't think it had anything to do with children. Probably consensual but inappropriate (for a priest) behavior with an adult. |
