Trump is significantly richer than OJ Simpson (or so he claims), so the punitive damages are necessarily higher.And the wrongful death suit was about calculating the losses of the Goldman family from losing their son who would have lived for decades more, whereas Carroll’s suit was about the money she lost from the reputational damage from being accused of being a liar by a major public figure with a massive, unquestioning following. |
