Under the Flynn Effect, average IQ's tend to rise (very gradually) over time, while under the Idiocracy Effect average IQ's tend to decline over time due to lower reproduction among more intelligent people especially women.Whether these effects cancel each other out, or one is stronger than the other, is yet to be seen. Whatever the case, any changes in IQ are not likely to be noticeable within the course of a human lifespan. |
