The idea that crime going down was just statistical tweaking is just something that the right-wing “tough on crime” crowd uses to justify their claims that crime is still high so vote for right wingers who promise to clean things up (that no longer need cleaning).They’ve gotten away with “liberals are soft on crime” for so long that they don’t know how to get around it with actually low crime. |
